What Can I Expect When Calling the 24/7 Family Violence Crisis Line?
When reaching out to the Family Violence Crisis Line, here's what you can expect:
Crisis Intervention Workers (CIW) available to answer your call 24/7, every day of the year.
No requirement to be in immediate crisis to make a call.
Upon greeting, a CIW will inquire about your needs and provide assistance accordingly.
All requests for information, referrals, and support will be addressed while ensuring your safety and confidentiality.
If calling during a crisis, the CIW will assess your safety and offer support accordingly.
If safe, the CIW will address your questions and concerns; if not, they'll help you explore safety options promptly.
We encourage women interested in shelter accommodation to visit for a chat, with transportation provided if needed.
