Unity House
Emergency Shelter

Our emergency shelter offers a safe place for women and women with children that are fleeing interpersonal violence for up to 21 days.

Our Crisis Workers are available 24 hours a day to answer crisis calls on the Family Violence Crisis Line, as well as, to provide emotional support, education and referrals to residents of the shelter.

Sexual Assault
Programs & Support

Waypoints helps individuals who have experienced a form of sexual trauma, such as: Childhood Sexual Abuse, Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment.

We have immediate 24 hour telephone support, individual counselling and group counselling services available to those in need.


Community Awareness
& Special Events

As a non-profit organization, Waypoints relies on the help of our funders and the efforts of our community sponsors to be able to provide our programs and services to communities in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. To reach our goals, we host a variety of Community Awareness and Special Events throughout the year.

We recognize that all Albertans are Treaty People and have a responsibility to understand our history so that we can honour the past, be aware of the present and create a just and caring future. Waypoints’ celebrates and values the resiliency, successes and teachings that Alberta’s Indigenous people have shown us since time immemorial.
