Opportunities For Change Program
We provide a 15-session Psycho-Educational Group Program designed for adults (male and female groups offered) who have used violence in their intimate partner relationships. This program is offered as a component of the Provincial Family Violence Treatment Program. Participants access the program via referrals from Alberta Community Corrections Office (court mandated) and/or Alberta Children Services, or may self refer when there is program availability.
As a participant actively engaged in Opportunities For Change, you'll be part of a positive and respectful environment aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of relationship challenges and learning skills to assist in preventing violence in present and future relationships. Group Facilitators may offer referrals to other programs or services within the community as needed or requested.
